Itinerary:
*All times listed in CST (SK Time).
*Attendees are encouraged to carpool with other attendees once at the farmsite.
*While we do our best to bring you the program as advertised, itinerary is subject to change.
- 10:00-10:30am: Registration and networking, River’s Edge Seeds, 167 Birch Rd, Carrot River
- 10:30-11:30am– River’s Edge Facility Tour: Organic Hempseed Cleaning
- Drive to ER Lefevbre Farm
- 11:50am-12:50pm-Lunch: Provided by Prairie Angel Bakery
- Drive to Intermediate Wheatgrass field
- 1:00-1:30pm-Intermediate Wheatgrass Background-Dr. Doug Cattani, University of Manitoba
- 1:30-2:00pm-ADOPT Project-Intermediate Wheatgrass-Jo-Anne Relf-Eckstein, Saskatchewan Forage Seed Development Commission
- Drive back first clover field
- 2:10-2:30pm-Red Clover Field-Evan Lefevbre
- Drive to second clover field
- 2:40-3:00pm: Red Clover Field-2-Evan Lefevbre
- 3:00-3:30pm: Common clover pests, organic management options-Jeremy Irvine, College of Grad Studies, University of Saskatchewan
- Drive to next field
- 3:40-4:10pm: Inter-row cultivator demo/talk
- 4:10-4:40pm: Production of HumaTerra H-start pellets, Ian Bromm
- 4:40-5:00pm: Refreshments & Networking
- 5:00pm: Conclusion
