SaskOrganics is pleased to launch our Outstanding Organic Farmer Award, to be awarded annually to an organic farmer who is currently making an outstanding contribution to the organic sector. The catalyst for the award was the generous donation from the North West Saskatchewan Organic Producer Group (NWSOPG) to recognize and promote innovation in the organic sector.
Eligibility
- Is a certified organic farmer in Saskatchewan
- Contributes to the organic community by one or more of the following, but not limited to:
- Exercises recent and notable innovation in agronomic practice
- Plays a leadership role in advocating and advancing organic agriculture in the province
- Performs an exceptional mentorship role in the organic community
- Past award winners are not eligible for nomination
- Please note, current SaskOrganics Board members and Awards Committee members are not eligible for nomination. No self nominations.
Nominations will be accepted between November 1st and December 31st by the Executive Director.
